as soon as she'd turned to him, she got out of breath even worse than she had already. what he did know, was that - whoever she might be - he would do his utter best to have a conversation with her. let me quote to you, isla's and alessi's reactions after seeing each other for the first time: This book has the WORST case of instalove i have EVER read. how unfortunate that i had guessed everything that happened like 50 pages before it actually happened.Īnd if you don't care about being spoilered:

if it'd been good, realistic or if there had been a good plot twist, maybe i would have boosted this up to 2 stars. I found the writing to be really fucking terrible, but i read a translated version and not the original so that could be the translator's fault, not the writer's.Īnd. alessi was just a trope used too many times: a womanizer with a sobstory who of fucking course decides to settle down when he meets our female protagonist. isla was such a stupid bitch, i threw the book across the room at least 3 times because of the stupid decisions she made and the stupid shit she said. i didn't like either of them.īut, as strong and calm and organized isla seems on the outside, alessi knows something's off and he wants to find out what it is.

and he's, just like isla, supposed to be this amazing person, too. he's greek, tall, has those loooong legs isla owns too, has beautiful dark browns eyes that match his cute-messy curls. Then we have our all time favourite love interest: alessandro "alessi" manos. but, our lovely isla has a dark secret: she's a virgin. her dad is the ceo of the hospital she works in i think - i didn't really pay attention to that part - but anyways he seems really important because she says she walks the red carpet regularly and does other famous-people things (even though not one of those things happens once in the entire book). ofcourse, she's also very pretty, how-you-should-look-according-to-the-media pretty: long, blond hair (which is mentioned like every 10 fucking pages, not even kidding), full lips and long as shit legs. Disclaimer #1: i will be quoting some parts from the book onto here, but they may not be the exact words used because i read this in dutch and i can't find the english version so i'll just translate the quotes myself.ĭisclaimer #2: if this is your favourite book, you should probably stop reading right here because surprise i didn't like it.
